   Haven't had much time to write it lately, but I love to read all of yours.

   Gardening has been one of my sanity keepers since I was 12.
   I have a beautiful but unconventional yard- AKA 'the weirdest in my subdivsion'- because I do not grow any lawn grass. It's perennials, roses, native plants and herbs
5. herbs:
   When I was in graduate school I bought a grow light form my marijuana farming neighbor for $10 and a cherry pie. I used it to grow herbs in a kitchen window that faced into the airshaft. The purple glow caused spme gossip, so my manager indignantly demanded to be let in to 'inspect'. She found only parsley, sage, rosemay and thyme.
6. les enfants du paradis:
   Seen many years ago in a flickering black and white print, in an chichi little artsy-fartsy loft theatre, with a friend who is now dead. There were no subtitles and I had to translate line by line form the soundtrack sotto voce. Someone in the row ahead of us asked me to speak louder so they could understand.
7. mary russell:
   I don't have her intellectual gifts, but as a teenager I was the Mary Rusell of The Beekeper's Apprentice-chess, sarcasm, and all.
8. severus snape:
   While he was reading HBP, my son came out of his room at intervals to grab a snack and give me an update. "It's not looking so good for your man Snape, Mom" he said.
9. sherlock holmes:
   Much like Russell, I fell in love with Holmes at a young age..(I have a Thing for tall snarky men.)
